Who is conceited enough to assume that our Earth is distinguished among the planets? What is so significant about the earth, this little things, in the universe of millions of far greater bodies where, measured by earthly standards, the chances for life and development are incomparatively better? […] Aren’t we all afflicted with megalomania? The wise ones, the stupid ones, the saintly and the pious ones, they all know nothing. We all know nothing. Knowledge and science are inadequate when it comes to the simplest questions about time and eternity, about God, about heaven and Satan.
